MINOT, N.D., August 12, 2014 - Hess Corporation (NYSE: HES) presented a $20,000 check to the Mountrail County Health Center (MCHC) in Stanley for the purchase of an X-ray machine for emergency and hospital use.
"Mountrail County Health Center is a critical access, acute care hospital that many of employees and families in the energy industry rely on," said Steve McNally, Hess General Manager, North Dakota. "Our contribution allows the facility to replace an aging piece of equipment and continue assisting families and individuals throughout the region."
The existing machine is well beyond industry established 'useful life.' With this funding and funding raised from this year's Mountrail County Health Foundation Golf Scramble, the Mountrail County Health Center will be able to purchase a newer system which will meet the growing and changing needs of the hospital.
"With Hess's contribution, our X-ray machine will be able to meet the demand of the region," says Dr. Mark Longmuir, MCHC Chief of Staff. "The new system will support larger patients and we will not have to be concerned about failure in critical moments or emergencies. "
Health and wellness are fundamental to the Hess culture and integral to its business. Hess is proud to invest in high impact programs, especially in the areas of education, health, and community development.
