615 6th St SE, Stanley, ND 58784
The Stanley Community Hospital board recently approved the purchase of a 16 slice CT scanner.A donation from the Gary Nelson family will also be used to help purchase the unit.
“Even with the slowing of the oil activity in our area, our ER and Radiology department still are maintaining high numbers. There was an increase of 62 scans taken during 2015 verses 2014,” says Dr. Mark Longmuir. “This upgraded system will provide faster scans with a more accurate image, so more detailed exams can be done.”
“The Reiarson Trust is very specific on what it can spend its money on,” says Derald Hoover, President of the SCH Board.“We cannot help with operations at all for the hospital or clinic, but we can aid them by purchasing better equipment for the facility. With a faster CT Scanner, which has a quicker processor, the Radiology department will be able to utilize this CT scanner even more than the one presently used. That means a better bottom line for the Mountrail County Medical Center, since they won’t be sending patients to another hospital for scans.”
Please remember that your X-ray needs can be completed here in Stanley, even if your provider is not local.Radiology orders can be taken at the Mountrail County Medical Center, processed and then sent out to the requesting provider.
