Health Foundation Receives Enbridge Grant

Mountrail County Health Foundation was recently presented with a $10,000 grant as part of the Enbridge Community Investment Program. The Safe Community Program is dedicated to providing small grants to first-responder organizations located in the U.S. communities that host Enbridge operations to help underwrite equipment or training that would help organizations respond to emergency situations. Qualifying organizations can re-apply annually and include fire, police and sheriff departments and emergency medical services. More information can be found at www.enbridge.com/communityinvestment.

Enbridge operates, in Canada and the United States, the world’s longest crude oil and liquids pipeline system. Enbridge Pipelines (North Dakota) is a 240-mile crude oil gathering and 730-mile interstate transportation system that transports 245,000 bpd of Bakken sweet crude to Midwest refineries and beyond. In response to increasing crude oil production in the region, Enbridge has completed over $1.6 Billion in expansions. The Sandpiper Pipeline Project will increase the takeaway capacity of the Enbridge North Dakota system by an additional 225,000 barrels per day (bpd) by early 2017.
